Lakme Face Of the Day 1
On the first day of Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/ Resort 2010, Lakmé has
introduced an interesting initiative titled, 'Face of the Day'. Inaugurated
by Mr Anil Chopra, Advisor, LFW Advisory Board and Mr Sujal Shah, Head of
Fashion, IMG. The lucky face of the day was Alesia Raut who received a gift
hamper from Lakmé as well as the privilege of having her face adorned on
the Lakmé Wall displayed at the venue.
Incidentally, Alesia began her career with Lakmé Fashion Week in 2001. It
was her first experience as a model in a fashion week and was the probably
the governing decision in taking up the career full time. Alesia always
dreamed of being a Lakmé face, from the very first time she walked the
ramp. A visibly excited Alesia said, 'It felt like I had lived my Lakmé
Face fantasy, even if it was for a few minutes, it was worth the wait."

Lakme Face Of the Day 2
The second day Lakmé continued on to search for women whose essence spelled
the Lakmé face. After many selections, Mr. N Rajaram, Vice President, Lakmé
and Mr Sujal Shah, Head of Fashion, IMG finalized on the second beauty,
Fiona Melissa Thomas who was announced as the Lakmé Face of the Day on Day2.
Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/ Resort 2010 has been her first modeling
assignment in India and her first full time experience as a model. She
comes from Perth, Australia, originally, but is delighted with the Indian
fashion and beauty scene. On winning the Lakmé Face of the Day, she stated,
"I love make up and cosmetics and it's amazing that I have the privilege to
be adorned as the Lakmé Face of the Day." She adds, "Lakmé has always
picked the most beautiful woman and if you look at their history, these
women have become famous for their beauty alone. Lakmé is truly ahead of
the time!" Apart from modeling Fiona likes to go to the beach and adores
shopping, "which girl doesn't!!" she gushes as she gets her make-up ready
for the ramp and walks off clutching the gift hamper presented by Lakmé for
the initiative.

Lakme Face Of the Day 3
Fabulously gorgeous and full of life, the third Lakmé Face of the day, a
completely fresh and vibrant Parvati Melton who floored the jury and red
carpet with her sensual eyes and beautiful Indian smile. The bubbly twenty
one year old was thrilled to be named the Lakmé face of the day. "I feel so
glamorous, it's amazing... Lakmé has this effect I guess" she laughed as
her camera flashes took over. Parvati has been in Mumbai for only seven
months and has developed a strong interest in modeling and acting. "Being
the Lakmé face of the day has been a larger than life experience... I love
Mumbai and I love all things fashion and beauty." When commenting about the
Lakmé look adorned on her face, Parvati expressed her love for the Lakmé
black liquid eye liner.

Lakme Face Of the Day 4
As sweet as sugar, Ashika glazed the floors of LFW taking in breaths fresh
air in the courtyards of the Grand Hyatt, where Lakmé Face jury spotted
her. Ashika has been in India for only 2 months now, on modeling
assignments, living in Mumbai to her has been the best experience in India.
On winning the Lakmé Face of the Day for day four, she blushed, "Its nice
to get a gift and especially nice to be placed among some of the most
beautiful women in India. Her favorite make up product is a great
foundation. "Skin should always look beautiful... this matters to me more
than anything else." On asking her about the product she likes from Lakmé,
she stated that the daily naturalle foundation by Lakmé brought out
beautiful skin and allowed the base to feel light on the face.

Lakme Face Of the Day 5
Diva Dhawan, a befitting face well worth the grandeur of the Lakmé Fashion Week Summer/Resort 2010, was very excited on winning the title of the Lakmé Face of the Day five. After having lived most of her life in the USA, Diva is loving every bit of her experience as a model in India. “It feels special to be chosen as the winner and I’d like to thank the jury members for this pleasant surprise. I also liked the gift hamper that came along with the title”, she gushed. She confessed that she swears by her cosmetic line from Lakmé, especially the Lakmé Glide On Lip Color in baby pink shade.
